answer to all important questions

We’re in close contact with Frau Holle. We don’t have any snow cannons or artificial snow. We rely on the wind and weather and always keep an eye on the forecast.

We update daily to let you know if there’s enough snow for skiing. If you’re unsure, be sure to check our daily updated hours of operation.

We don't have snow cannons so as to preserve nature and its inhabitants as much as possible. Only when Mother Holle blesses us with snow—and there's enough of it—can we open the ski lifts.

There is no helmet requirement on our ski slopes. However, we strongly recommend wearing a helmet while skiing. You’ll be protecting yourself and others in the event of an accident.

If you don’t have your own helmet, you’re welcome to rent one directly from the ski rental shop.

You can pay in person with a card, in cash, or by invoice. You're also welcome to purchase everything online through our web store before your visit.

You're welcome to purchase tickets for the lift systems through our online store before your visit, or you can buy them on-site.

Unfortunately, we’re just as much at the mercy of the crystal ball as you are. Sometimes winter arrives as early as the beginning of December, and other times it doesn’t show up until after Christmas. We’ll let you know as soon as there’s enough snow here for skiing. We promise!

Check out our webcam to catch the first snowfall.

The Rennwiese is perfect for all beginner skiers. You can see the entire slope at a glance, and it’s wide enough for you and other skiers.

If you still need equipment, check out our ski rental shop.

Admission to the Hoherodskopf Ski- und Rodelarena is free. To use our lifts, you’ll need to purchase a ticket at our on-site ticket offices.

Alternatively, you can also buy your ticket online in our web shop .

You can view our prices here. Once you've found what you're looking for, feel free to purchase your tickets from our online store before your visit.
